Ted (and me) in my sewing room at 6:00 am this morning.

I completed this quilt (a pattern called "Tiger Lily" published in Quilt Sampler 2001) a very long time ago...but I just now finished putting on the binding. It always take me such a long time to get around to sewing the bindings on my quilts.

Its been raining here for most of the month of July and now into August.












Even this little chipmunk has a raindrop on his head. But he's got bigger worries I think...he must be wondering if Sydney can find a way out through the patio door.

Early Morning Visitors

I was up early this morning and found a couple of little visitors to my garden.
There are rabbits here often and I can't resist photographing them.

A Quilter's Cat

Why does my cutting table always seem like the best place to stop and rest?
Emily may look a little grumpy in this photo, but I think she is very happy to
have found the just-ironed fabric.

Flowers and Bees

I was just out in the garden taking photos of my weigelia in full bloom when I spotted these great big bumblebees loading up with pollen from the flowers.

This Weekend's Project

Here is what I'll be working on this weekend. I'm still not sure what the finished quilt will look like but it will include more blocks than are on my design wall now.

I am starting to work on these blocks to incorporate into the quilt. They are the reverse shading (dark background with light applique shapes).
