Early Morning Visitors

I was up early this morning and found a couple of little visitors to my garden.
There are rabbits here often and I can't resist photographing them.

A Quilter's Cat

Why does my cutting table always seem like the best place to stop and rest?
Emily may look a little grumpy in this photo, but I think she is very happy to
have found the just-ironed fabric.

Flowers and Bees

I was just out in the garden taking photos of my weigelia in full bloom when I spotted these great big bumblebees loading up with pollen from the flowers.

This Weekend's Project

Here is what I'll be working on this weekend. I'm still not sure what the finished quilt will look like but it will include more blocks than are on my design wall now.

I am starting to work on these blocks to incorporate into the quilt. They are the reverse shading (dark background with light applique shapes).

Fabulous News !

I simply have to share the news that my daughter, Sarah, just got engaged. Here is a photo of Sarah and Chris, followed by photos of the stunningly beautiful ring Chris gave her. Congratulations! We are all very, very happy and excited for you.
